Clinic Anniversary

Yesterday was my one year clinic anniversary.  The year has had its ups and downs. I am not where I'd hoped to be, but it's been a good year. I am blessed far beyond what I deserve. My kids are healthy, despite the colds they have right now. I am far healthier than I was this time a year ago. My marriage is in a better state than I was a year ago. Though, the past six months I haven't done nearly as well as I could have. I have gained weight the last couple months. That has been very hard to swallow. Still, I promised myself I would be honest in this blog and I am. This morning I weighed 306.2. I am so mad at myself, but there were warnings along the way. There were gentle reminders that I needed to reign back in. Let's see what goals I have accomplished this year, though.

This is a list of my misc. goals divided into categories. As time goes on

April Fitness Challenges

Each month I dread this post.  I always struggle between setting goals that are truly obtainable and  "lazy goals." These goals are usually set when I am coming off of a majorly disappointing month. This month is no different. I worked really hard to succeed and I did accomplish a lot of what I set out to do. However, the human in me does NOT want to work any harder than I did last month. Where lies the balance of pushing myself to succeed without pushing myself into failure? I am hoping to accomplish much this month. Alright, enough procrastinating. Let's just do this.

March Fitness Challenge

I have thought really hard about my challenges for the upcoming month. As I was thinking about what I wanted to do, the only thing that came to mind was to set the bar low enough so I didn't have to work too hard! That is awful and I know it. I promised myself I would be honest here though. Now that I am out of that mindset here are my challenges for the month of March.

A Plan for the February

For January, I focused on trying to control my calories and get moving in any way possible. I now park in the driveway instead of the yard. I've been to the gym at least 20 times this month. I've went from doing nothing to walking 2 miles at a time. All in all January was a pretty good month. I am 11 lbs closer to my goal. Praise God for that.

Activities for February

Physical Health

1. Start taking my other meds again.
2. Go to the doctor so I can get a refill on my meds for March.

Nutrition

1. Eat more protein
2. Drink more water.
3. Splurge twice - Coldstone is calling my name and then my regular splurge.
4. Learn one new recipe.

Fitness

1. Spend at least 45 hours on WiiFit.
2. Weight Lifting at the gym at least 12 times.
3. Use the elliptical at least once a week. (Terrified of this machine!)

Spiritual

1. Read 30 chapters in the Bible with my family.
2. Do Family Worship Time at least 5 days a week.
3. Spend more time praying.

Emotional

1. Blog daily.
2. Spend more time talking to my husband about life and the things going on.
3. Spend more time with my children.

Misc.

1. "Spring" Clean my house.
2. Get caught up on Laundry.
3. Find all forms needed to file my taxes and file them.

Small baby steps will get me closer to a healthier me. I am excited to see what I can accomplish this month.

Blessings,

Weight Loss Mama
