TMI ALERT: Cycle Info
I chart, but just chart my period days. It gets so emotionally draining to temp and all that other stuff when your cycles are anything but regular. Right now I am just trying to find out more about my body. That being said....
I started today. My last cycle was 45 days long. For some reason I thought it was much longer. I had a weird couple days prior to that where I spotted, but it was totally weird. Anyway. Here we go again.
Here is a story I posted on FB earlier today.
I have to share this story with you. I had to make an emergency run to Walmart to pick up some *ahem* woman stuff *cough* because I had none on hand. I had all of the babies in one cart and Sam was pushing Landon in another one. So as I'm walking back to the register, Isaiah picks up a box and says "Mommy, dis got candy in it?" I responded, "No Son, that's not candy. It's for Mommy." There was an older lady who was in the aisle at the time and she was trying to hide her laughter. At that point he looks at her and says, "Girl, Mommy's buying us gum. Dere's gum in dis box!!!" And he did that to every woman we passed. The poor guy at the register was turning about 20 different shades of red by the time we made it through his line. *note to self* Do not take Isaiah to buy that stuff anymore.
Blessings,
Mama

Big Day
Today was a big day for our family, though. Sam lost another tooth. We were getting ready to leave to go to my friend Amy's house. This tooth had been loose for about a month, but it was so small I couldn't pull it. He grinds his teeth so most of the tooth was gone. I finally wrapped some fishing line around it and pulled it. It look almost 10 minutes to do. I don't know who cried more - Sam or me. I am extra emotional right now as I started my cycle this week.
We have officially begun Birthdaypalooza at our house. Everyone in our family has a birthday between March and August. Mom's and Aunt Flossie's are in March. We still celebrate their birthdays. Landon, John and Jewel-Anne will celebrate their birthdays this month. Isaiah's is in May. June is our anniversary as well as Liana and my birthdays. Sam's is the last one and his is in August. By August, I am sick of birthday cake! Landon's birthday is next so we are planning his Mommy Date for his special day. In our family they get a party/family dinner (usually a combined party for the month) and then we have a special day on their birthday. Landon wants Chinese food so I will honor his request.

Cycles...TMI
I started my cycle today. That makes my last cycle 24 days long. A normal cycle is 28 days long. Normal for me is 45-60 days long these days. Not sure what is up. For those reading this wondering why I am putting such private info online, I use this blog to help me track things. I have looked back several times to see a pattern in different things. Anyway, there you go.

Cycles
And just like that...as if I didn't have ENOUGH going on...my wacky body decided to start my period! Hopefully it will be a light one...It is time to get up for church and I'm sitting here cramping. I just want to go back to sleep!
The past cycle was 47 days long. That makes 8 cycles since I started getting healthy. Of all times for my body to start to regulate itself. If only this could've happened years ago! Of course this is ME we're talking about. I don't do anything when I'm supposed, too.
Blessings,

The Joy and Sorrow of Christmas
I remember making a statement a couple months ago about having 45ish day cycles. Of course the moment I notice this, this would change. This morning I woke up bleeding. Last cycle was 65 days long. Bleh!
I certainly hope that PMS was the reason behind all of these crazy emotions I have been having. If so then there is hope that life will become normal again. Of course my normal would look anything but normal to most people. ;-) I am supposed to meet with Dad next week so it would be nice to feel normal when I do it.
Christmas is such a hard time for me. Before the boys came into our lives, I always decorated the house the first weekend in November. I did it because Mama loved Christmas so. I also knew by the time Thanksgiving rolled around that I would be in no mood for the jolly season. Christmas was bittersweet even then. I made everything as perfect as possible for Mama, but I was dying inside. I just couldn't find the joy in the season when my arms were so empty. It doesn't help matters that Elijah's due date is just after Christmas. I struggle with knowing that there should be 24 little hands unwrapping presents, making cookies and helping Mama decorate. Instead 14 of them will be decorating in Heaven this year.
I am so thankful that Christ came to earth as a baby, bled and died on the cross for my sins as an adult and rose from the grave. His life and death would've taken place even if I was the only one who needed Him. It is really hard to separate the real reason from the commercialism of it all. I wish I could be one of those people who looked back with a tear of joy in my eye and remember all of the good without the sadness. I am not there, yet. I will be one day, but today isn't the day. When I think of Christmas I think of Christ, yes, but I also think of Mama not being here any longer and all of the things my babies are missing. Isn't it funny how we, as Glory Mommies, think of all the stuff our Glory Babies are missing? Yet if we stop and think about it, would we really want them to experience it all? God's plan is perfect and His purpose was true for each of my kids. He didn't want them to experience the sin of this fallen world. He loved both of us enough to spare those seven of the heartbreak this world gives. So I will pick myself up, finish the Christmas shopping I have to do, watch movies and bake cookies with my kids. We will read the Christmas Story of Jesus' birth and celebrate the heart of Christmas.

Cycle Musings and Observations
TMI ALERT
(You have been warned!)
Good Sunday morning to everyone! I hope today finds you blessed. My family hadn't planned on going to church today, but it's a good thing we hadn't. Yesterday evening, I started my period. I knew I had ovulated and wasn't expecting my period for a couple more days, but God had other plans I guess. That led me to start studying my charts and here is what I found.

Jan 01 - 74 days (m/c Jeremiah)
March 15 - 42 days, O'd CD 29, LP 13
April 26 - 49 days, O'd CD 32 (M/c Chloe), LP 17
June 21 - 44 days, O'd CD 32, LP 12
My January cycle started with my miscarriage of Jeremiah. It was 74 days long. I wasn't paying any attention to my signs or symptoms then because I didn't think I'd see another period for a year or more.
When March arrived and I found myself starting another cycle I started paying a bit more attention, but not enough to really temp or anything. Based on my symptoms I ovulated on CD 29 and my LP was 13 days long.
April cycle was 49 days long. This was the cycle I miscarried Chloe. I ovulated on CD 32 and my LP was 17 days long. Because I was a couple days late, I thought I was pregnant again, but I wasn't. That is ok though.
June's cycle was 44 days long. I ovulated again on CD 32, but my LP was only 12 days long. This time I was using progesterone cream because I know my progesterone tends to be low. Usually, I have to stop the progesterone for a couple days before my period comes, but I was still using it when my period arrived yesterday.
Now this could be a problem because a normal LP is 14 days long. A short LP can keep the baby from implanting so I need to look into that. It is just nice to see some sort of pattern in my cycles. Hopefully, as I lose more weight, my cycles will get closer to normal. I am excited to see what this cycle does.
Blessings,
Weight Loss Mama

TMI: New Cycle
This is another one of those TMI posts so you have been warned.
I started my first post-miscarriage period today. I have had a bit of spotting here and there, but I finally started again. This is note worthy because after not having a period for so long the last cycle was 74 days long. That is horribly long, but at least it wasn't 18+ months.
I should've known something was up. After we got home from church I fell asleep on the couch and woke up craving a chocolate milkshake. I normally don't like sweets (except for Marble Slab) and rarely indulge in them. I had wanted to go to the gym but woke up no longer wanting to go. Then I found out that my cycle had began so obviously I am staying put tonight.
John's making dinner for the kids so I am going to curl up with a book and wait for bedtime. Tomorrow is Mama's birthday. Please pray for my family. Thank you.
This is the day which the LORD hath made ; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
Be Blessed,
